Competitive vendor landscape

The global eye makeup market consists of both top vendors and private players operating across the globe. Manufacturers are launching innovative products across the eye makeup market to meet the changing consumer patterns and keep pace with the increasing competition. Celebrity endorsements and fashion shows are some of the key strategies used by manufacturers to showcase new trends in premium cosmetics and expand their consumer base. During the forecast period, the market is expected to witness the launch of new, innovative products with a new value proposition in the offering. Counterfeit products and the presence of toxic chemicals in the product offerings are some of the key challenges faced by the manufacturers in the global eye makeup market.

“Technological advancements play a key role in the customization of products in today’s market scenario. The Mink 3D Printer is one such technologically advanced equipment that is capable of printing color makeup. 3D printed makeup applies the same FDA-approved ingredients used by popular makeup brands. Manufacturers in the market are leveraging the ‘DIY’ trend to cater to changing consumer requirements,” says Brijesh Kumar Choubey, a lead analyst at Technavio for research on cosmetics and toiletries.
