London, 03 October 2015 – Technavio, a tech-focused research firm, has published a new report on the lead-acid battery market in China, which is expected to grow at a CAGR of close to 6% from 2015-2019.
In accordance with the latest report by Technavio, China’s fast economic growth and ongoing trend of urbanization have resulted in increased noise and air pollution, and the growing number of vehicles has added to traffic crashes and fatalities. As a result, e-bikes are gaining popularity as users find them more convenient than any other conventional two-wheeler with respect to the bad traffic conditions in the country.
“Majority of e-bikes manufactured are equipped with lead-acid batteries. Therefore, increasing demand and production of e-bikes in China will drive the market for lead-acid batteries during the forecast period,” says Faisal Ghaus, Vice President of Technavio.
The latest report by Technavio also pinpoints the growth of telecom market, which directly impacts the lead-acid battery market positively because lead-acid batteries dominate the telecom industry in China, where they are used as reserve power batteries.
“The telecom market in China is expected to grow in the future, fueling the demand for more telecom towers that will eventually drive the market for lead-acid batteries,” says Ghaus.
