Key vendors to focus on product portfolio expansion during the forecast period.
Technavio, a company that develops over 2000 pieces of research every year and covers more than 500 technologies across 80 countries, has announced the top five vendors for the global lawn mower batteries market in their latest research report. This report also lists four other prominent vendors who are expected to contribute to this market’s growth between 2017-2021.
Competitive vendor landscape
The global market for lawn mower batteries consists of many global, local, and regional vendors, making the market space highly competitive in nature. The declining prices of Li-ion batteries and rapidly changing preferences of end-users for other advanced batteries is likely to present a significant challenge for lead-acid battery vendors. The steady rise in the demand for upgrades and innovations pose a hurdle for vendors operating in the market.
According to Thanikachalam Chandrasekaran, a lead analyst at Technavio for research on energy storage, “Mostly small or local vendors manufacture Li-ion batteries for lawn mowers. The bigger players have a very limited product range of lawn mower Li-ion batteries. Vendors are expected to expand their portfolios owing to the rapid use of Li-ion battery technology in battery-operated lawn mowers.”
