The new industry research report from Technavio discusses in detail the key drivers and trends responsible for the growth of this market and its sub-segments.

“Several vendors in the market are developing eco-friendly products to bring product differentiation. Some large vendors such as DuPont and ITW are developing eco-friendly wipes. These eco-friendly products contain less chemical components, and include naturally soft cellulose. Therefore, these products can deliver excellent absorption and performance. Also, a few large vendors are coming up next generation products such as ultra-thin products, which can give them a competitive edge in the market,” says Anju Ajaykumar, Lead Analyst, Heavy Industry, Technavio Research

The food processing industry, and the food and beverage industry are expected to opt for large-scale use of cleanroom consumables. The demand for cleanroom consumables is expected to increase in these sectors owing to their need for safety and hygiene.  The use of cleanrooms in food processing has several benefits. Removing germs and other microorganisms from the production and packaging processes ensures not only greater food safety but also improves the product’s longevity. Contamination by bacteria can lower the quality of a food product or even result in premature spoilage, but goods produced and packaged in cleanrooms stay longer than those that are not.

The key vendors in the global cleanroom consumables market are Berkshire, DuPont, ITW, and Kimberly-Clark. The market is characterized by the presence of well-diversified international and local vendors and suppliers. Competition in this market is expected to intensify in the coming years owing to increase in product extensions, technological innovations, and growing number of mergers and acquisitions. DuPont and Kimberly-Clark are well-known fabric suppliers of gown fabrics, whereas Illinois Tool Works is known as a leading provider of wipes.
