Technavio Says an Increase in LTE Subscriptions Will Boost the LBS Market in Western Europe from 2015-2019

London, 08 June 2015 – Thanks to a rise in LTE subscriptions, the LBS market in Western Europe is expected  to multiply, and post a CAGR of 37% from 2015-2019, says research firm Technavio.

About the Report

According to the new Technavio report, Western Europe has the highest number of subscribers for long term evolution (LTE). In 2014, there were 10 LTE launches in Europe with only one of them being UK Broadband. Now, the UK leads Europe in LTE subscriptions.

“LTE growth is expected to reach 300 million worldwide and Western Europe will be the second largest contributor for LTE,” says Faisal Ghaus, Vice President of Technavio.

“The declining prices of broadband and the introduction of 5G networks will also result in the growth of LTE.”

The latest report by Technavio also draws attention towards implementation of LBS in parking services, which has made parking convenient. These apps guide on a real-time basis, with availability of paid parking and effortless payment through the app.
