The global rupture disc market was valued at around $292 million in 2015 and is expected to surpass $319 million by 2020, says Technavio.

Rapid urbanization and growing population are adding to the rising concerns about depleting freshwater resources across the globe. The majority of the developed economies lack adequate distribution facilities even though they have well-established water treatment infrastructure. This results in the contamination of water during transit. Various European countries that already have technologically advanced industrial water treatment infrastructure are now focusing on municipal water treatment infrastructure. Several countries in APAC are also increasing their investments in developing industrial and municipal water treatment infrastructure in an attempt to prevent river contamination and to promote water reuse. Surging investments in the water and wastewater treatment industry is propelling the demand for rupture discs in the global market.
