This market research report presents a detailed segmentation of the water bath market by product type (circulating, non-circulating, and shaking) and by end users (chemical, microbiology, food processing, and protein engineering). It provides a market share analysis and projections of its key regions, including Americas, APAC, and EMEA. Key findings also include an analysis of the leading vendors such as Thermo Fisher, Grant Instruments, PolyScience, Julabo, and Thomas.

Technavio has released its new market research report, global water bath market, which is expected to grow at a CAGR of around 7% between 2015 and 2019. The expansion and the increase in the number of research and testing facilities worldwide are driving the growth of this market. The chemical industry was the largest user of water baths for corrosion testing, crude oil analysis, solubility testing, and other general laboratory processes.

Currently, the Americas dominate the global market for water bath, accounting for 38% of the total market share. However, APAC is expected to be the fastest growing region over the forecast period, due to the increase in the number of laboratories.

“Contemporary water baths are automated and can be pre-set to perform various functions. These new water baths can store protocols to control the temperature. Lately, the manufacturers are aiming to reduce the power consumption of idle water baths by 80%. For instance, Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched gassing hoods that are used as lids to minimize convection, which decreases energy consumption,” says Navin Rajendra, Lead Analyst, Lab Equipment, Technavio Research.

Circulating water bath are the most-used water bath products, covering around 49% of the total market share. These baths are more precise than their non-circulating counterparts and are cost-effective. These baths have maximum applications in the life sciences segment. Of late, the growth of circulating water bath is declining because of the increased adoption of bead baths.
