Growing number of vector-borne diseases

The incidence of vector-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, filariasis, West Nile virus, chikungunya, and yellow fever is on the rise globally. This coupled with increased awareness about harmful mosquito-borne diseases is augmenting the need to take preventive measures. For example, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, 80 cases of malaria per 1,000 people were recorded in 2013, which reached 100 cases per 1,000 people in 2014. Marketing and government initiatives promoting use of household insecticides

Vendors in the global market for household insecticides are focusing on integrated marketing communications like television, newspapers, billboards, hoardings, Internet, and radio to create awareness about vector-borne diseases as well as the demand for their products.
