For instance, Honda Motors, one of the largest Japanese automobile manufacturers took to 3D CAD solution, CATIA, for designing vehicle specification, which resulted in effective reduction in time and overall cost of production.

The leading vendors in the global CAD market for VARs include Autodesk, Dassault, Seimens, and PTC. These major players generate their revenues either through direct sales or VARs. VARs and original CAD providers faced intense competition from new entrants in this market.
