Risk mitigation is a driving force behind a lot of this growth. Market research by far accounts for the largest portion of vendor activities in this market, holding nearly 80 percent market share.

“Prior information about the market helps companies to set their budgets and allocate the right amount of funds to each and every business operation of the company, which helps them mitigate unpredictable risks,” says Faisal Ghaus, Vice President of TechNavio.

The latest report from TechNavio also points to emerging social platforms, which are propelling market growth.

“Facebook and Twitter are the most used social networks in the country, although the local platform, Tuenti, has the highest number of users,” says Ghaus.

“Social media gives companies significant insights into consumer behavior and preferences. These insights allow organizations to enhance their services and design products and services for specific segments or demographics.”

With an increase in the use of smartphones and tablets, the availability of unstructured data has also increased. Vendors are proving specialized software that converts unstructured data into useful information with the help of analytical tools like SAS and SPSS.
