Automotive infotainment is the fastest-growing technology in the connected car segment, and is expected to post a growth rate of 56% during the forecast period. Most of the vehicles have infotainment for entertainment purposes in connection with devices such as smartphones and personal navigation systems. This is facilitated with a hands-free car kit. Also, high quality infotainment equipment plays a vital role in car purchasing decision making process.

The leading vendors in the connected car M2M connections and services market in APAC include Audi, BMW, CarIQ, China Unicom, Delphi Connect, Ford, Shanghai OnStar, Toyota G-Book, Vodafone and Wipro.  The competition in APAC among major connected car in-vehicle providers is very slowly gaining momentum. Most of the countries in APAC are highly price sensitive in the hathback car categories. Hence, only premium car such a BMW, Audi, have lunched the connected car applications along with their new models. In addition, some of the leading vednors such as Toyota have lunched connected car application along with their luxuary car segments.
