Global powdered activated carbon: The increased demand for powdered activated carbon is attributable to the wider range of industrial applications and higher adsorption property. Powdered activated carbon mostly find their application in the liquid-phase adsorption technique. After adsorption, they are removed by filtration or sedimentation. Activated carbon in its granular form is also used in the mining industry as they can absorb metals from a dissolved mixture.
Global activated carbon market by other activated carbon products: The other activated carbon products are extruded activated carbon, pelletized activated carbon, bead activated carbon, and impregnated activated carbon. These are used mainly to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the activated carbon for specific applications.
