TVs are all the buzz at this year’s CES, and competition is heating up between the industry’s Big Three; Sony, LG, and Samsung.
So far, the Vegas-based trade show has seen Sony announce a 4K HDR TV, LG introduce a Glass OLED 4K TV, and Samsung bring out an 8K TV.

A lot of this innovation has come in the wake of falling prices of more established LCD TVs. While this is good for consumers, it’s not great news for vendors. Shrinking sales have pushed top companies in the market towards developing novel displays to bolster revenue.
But according to Technavio, there are still strong projections on the horizon for LCD technology, particularly in the area of large area LCD displays. The global market is expected to climb from a value of $73.8 billion in 2015 to $84.5 billion in 2019.
On top of offerings from LG, Samsung, and Sony, a number of other key vendors are expected to make major contributions to market growth over the forecast period.

BOE Technology Group

CPT was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in Bade City, Taiwan. It manufactures and markets optoelectronics predominantly in Taiwan. The company offers TFT LCDs for monitors, tablets, notebook PCs, consumer electronic applications, cars, mobile devices, and DSC applications. It also offers touch applications for tablets and mobile devices.
HannsTouch Solution
HannsTouch Solution is a Taiwan-based company that researches, develops, manufactures, and distributes PCAP touch sensors, touch product modules, and touch display-related products. The company provides SCT and PCT touch products, touch sensor glass components and related services, touch product modules, complete structure design services, module-combining services, as well as IC drive firmware services. The company’s products find applications in cellphones, GPS navigators, digital photo frames, gaming consoles, digital cameras, laptops, AIO PCs, and MP3 players.
Innolux

InfoVision Optoelectronics
InfoVision Optoelectronics was founded in 2005 and is based in Kunshan City, China. It produces TFT LCD panels. The company also manufactures desktop PC LCD panels, laptop LCD panels, and LCD TV panels.
Panasonic
Panasonic was founded in 1918 and is headquartered in Kadoma, Japan. The company manufactures and sells a large variety of electronic products worldwide.
Sharp
Sharp was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan. Formerly, the company was known as Hayakawa Electric Industry, which was changed to Sharp in January 1970. It manufactures and sells consumer/information products and electronic components domestically and internationally.
