London, 08 May 2015 –The social gaming market in the US is expected to post a CAGR of 20% from 2015-2019, according to a new report from research firm Technavio.
According to the latest market survey by Technavio, internet users in the US accounted for more than 9% of global internet users in 2014. Of this number, about one-third can be classified as social gamers. These numbers indicate that even with high rates of internet penetration in the US, the social gaming market hasn’t reached saturation.
“Vendors have a huge opportunity to capture the yet untapped potential of the market by developing innovative games for new customers, to increase the number of social gamers,” says Faisal Ghaus, Vice President of Technavio.
The new Technavio report also emphasizes the increase in the number of gamers and intense competition among vendors that has been motivating vendors to make use of gamer data for product development, as analytics gives them important insights about social gamers.
“The intelligent usage of analytics will empower vendors to transform social networking into social intelligence and enable them to develop marketing strategies to increase their visibility and enhance brand image,” says Ghaus.
